3.3 magnitude quake hits Umphang

Umphang district of Tak province was hit by a 3.3 magnitude earthquake yesterday.

The Seismology Bureau of the Meteorological Department reported the earthquake happening at 7.04 pm last night.

The epicentre of the earth quake is six kilometres deep in Umphang district.

The local office of the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation said local people in Tambon Nong Luang felt the tremor slightly last night while the majority of people in the rest of the district did not feel the quake.
