Bangkok remains cool with strong wind for the next 24 hours

The mercury in the northern part of Thailand will drop 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours whereas Bangkok will experience cool weather and strong wind, the Meteorological Department forecast on Sunday.

As such, people in northern and northeastern provinces are warned to take good care of their physical health due to the changing weather.

As for the southern region, the Weatherman said that there would be rain storms in some parts of the region while the Gulf of Thailand will experience strong wind and choppy sea with waves as high as 2-3 metres. Small boats are told to remain ashore for their safety.

The minimum temperature in the North ranges from 15-20 degrees Celsius and maximum temperature varies from 25-31 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours. On mountain tops, the mercury is forecast to drop to 3-9 degrees Celsius with frost in some places. Easterly wind speed ranges from 10-25 kph.

The cold weather stems from strong high pressure front from China which is now blanketing the northern part of the country, said the Weatherman.
