Canada beats Thai women’s volleyball team 3 sets to 1

Canada beat Thailand 3 sets to 1 last night (Tuesday), at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship being held in Poland.

 

The Thai team was defeated 19-25 in the first set, 21-25 in the second, 25-23 in the third and 22-25 in the final set.

 

Thailand is one of 16 teams which advance to the second round of the championship.

 

Currently ranked 13th in the world, the Thai team had defeated the Canadian squad in their last three encounters, namely at the Nations’ League on June 14th, at the Nations’ League on June 19th and at the World Grand Prix on July 26th last year.

 

Thailand will meet Germany at 8pm tonight.
