The Ministry of Interior has invited people of the whole nation to join various activities to celebrate National Father’s Day in remembrance of the benevolence His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great (Rama IX) and to show gratitude to the institution of the monarchy.
National Father’s Day falls on 5 December, which was the birthday of King Rama IX, and it is also observed as Thailand’s National Day.
Permanent Secretary for Interior Chatchai Promlert said that the Government is scheduled to hold various activities to mark this special occasion from 1 to 6 December 2020 along Sanam Chai Road, as well as Saranrom Palace and Museum Siam areas in Bangkok.
Among the activities are exhibitions featuring King Rama IX’s life and work, the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, and the Royal Volunteer Project.
At the exhibition sites, several scenic viewpoints will be arranged for visitors to take photographs. Those who join various games and activities will be provided with souvenirs, such as saplings, bags, and water bottles.
