Extending Integrity and Transparency Business Roadmap

A memorandum of understanding (MOU) on integrity and transparency will be signed by private companies that are partners in contracts with the public sector.

The MOU is part of the Extending Integrity and Transparency Business Roadmap for the fiscal year 2021 to ensure zero tolerance for corruption.

Deputy Director-General of the Department of Business Development Poonpong Naiyanapakorn on 3 March 2021 chaired a meeting with representatives from the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) for discussion on the 2021 Extending Integrity and Transparency Business Roadmap.

Apart from the signing of the MOU, other activities under the 2021 Extending Integrity and Transparency Business Roadmap include Focus Group: Integrity and Transparency Business (ITB): Top Up; ITB Course; and Focus Group: National Center Business Ethics.

The Extending Integrity and Transparency Business Roadmap is a project introduced by NACC in 2018 to fight corruption, with an emphasis on integrity, ethics, and law and order.

The project is a result of studies on the connection between good governance and the promotion of integrity and transparency in the business sector.

Transparency builds trust and should be promoted, especially among the companies that are partners in contracts with the public sector. Integrity and transparency in both the public and private sectors will help create a corruption-free culture and prevent corrupt practices from leading to large-scale disasters.
