A two-storey glass factory on Soi Suksawat 64 in Phra Pradaeng district of Samut Prakarn was gutted by a predawn fire on Thursday.
No workers were injured but the fire gutted almost the entire building, causing damages to over half of the compound.
Firefighters spent an hour to keep the fire at the glass factory and prevent it to spread to nearby cities residential areas.
Initial questioning of witnesses revealed the fire started from the first floor and electrical shirt circuit could be the cause.
