Government holds alms giving ceremony to mark the 100th day of the passing of the beloved King

The government this morning hosted an alms giving ceremony to mark the 100th day of the passing of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej on October 13 last year.

The ceremony was held at Government House with Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha and his spouse Mrs Naraporn leading cabinet ministers and their spouses to give alms to 89 monks.

Among them included his five deputy prime ministers Gen Prawit Wongsuwan, Gen Tanasak Patimapragon, Dr Somkid Jatusri-Phitak, Gen Prajin Juntong, and Mr Wisanu Krua-ngam.

His Majesty King Bhumibol died at the age of 88 on 13 October 2016 after a long illness.

The government has announced a year-long period of mourning in honour of the late king.
