The Ministry of Culture has conferred upon Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana the title of “Siri Sinlapin,” in recognition of her creativity and achievements in several artistic fields.

The Cabinet, during its meeting on 10 November 2020, acknowledged the presentation of this title of artist to Her Royal Highness.

It was told that a meeting of the Committee on Contemporary Art Promotion on 10 July 2020, chaired by the Minister of Culture, instructed the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture to carry out the procedure on the presentation of the title.

Her Royal Highness is recognized for her wide-ranging talents in various fields of contemporary art, such as visual arts, literary works, music, and designing. She has used her ingenuity in the artistic dimension to strengthen international relations and raise funds for several foundations, such as the Chulabhorn Foundation, the Bhadra Maharajanusorn Foundation, and the Tippimarn for Abandoned and Sickness Animals Foundation under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn.

The Ministry of Culture is preparing to organize activities in honor of Her Royal Highness on the occasion of her granting permission for the Ministry of Culture to confer upon her the title of Siri Sinlapin, after she has graduated with a Ph.D. in Visual Art from the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture, and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University.

The Ministry of Culture will work with relevant organizations in arranging these activities, which include the publication of a book in honor of Her Royal Highness and the holding of an exhibition at the Pimarntip Art Gallery in Nakhon Ratchasima province in June 2021, coinciding with an international art festival, known as “Thailand Biennale, Korat 2021.”
