TWO PEOPLE SHOT DEAD IN TWO INCIDENTS IN SOUTHERN THAILAND

NARATHIWAT, southern Thailand, April 5 (NNN-Bernama)A 14-year-old boy and a man were killed in two separate shooting incidents in the restive provinces of Pattani and Narathiwat in southern Thailand last night.

Narathiwat police chief Major General Manas Sikkamas said the teenager, identified as Nasri Wokyu was shot in the head by an unknown attacker.

"He was shot at while playing guitar with his friends in a house at Kampung Banggol, Resak in Narathiwat," he told reporters today.

He said the victim's friend, Abdul Haidi Wanik, 30, was also injured in the incident, adding that the police were still investigating the motive of the incident.

In the other incident, a man was shot dead while riding a motorcycle at Kampung Baloi, Pattani.

Pattani police chief Major General Piyawat Chalermsi said the victim, identified as Nik Mae Sameng was shot dead at about 8.30 pm (local time).NNN-BERNAMA
