At 12:30 p.m., Huai Khwang Police Station and forensic officers inspected a lone robber who used a gun to rob a gold shop in a shopping mall on Ratchadaphisek Road. The incident occurred on the second floor near the escalator. The shop staff were found panicking and reported that before the incident, there was a male robber wearing a white cap, a mask covering his face, a black T-shirt, black pants, and a shoulder bag. He pretended to ask to see the gold before stealing 5 baht of gold and quickly running down the escalator to the lower floor. While running away, he dropped a lighter and a gun magazine on the escalator up and down the first floor. He then ran away on a gray and black Honda Wave motorcycle parked on the side of the mall. The chief of Huai Khwang Police Station reported that before the inc ident, the perpetrator came to scout out the front of the shop and then walked out as if he was considering whether to commit the crime or not. He then returned to the shop again, standing next to the shop and asking the shop staff to look at the gold necklace, which looked suspicious. The staff called the perpetrator to come in and look at the gold in the shop. The perpetrator pretended to ask to look at 2 bracelets. He looked at the first one and returned it to the staff. However, while the perpetrator was looking at the second one, the staff saw that it looked suspicious and his hands were shaking. At that time, the perpetrator was wearing a hat and a surgical mask, so they were about to tell him to take off his hat and mask first, but it was too late. The perpetrator grabbed a 5-baht gold bracelet and ran out of the shop immediately before tripping on the overpass, leaving his flip-flops behind. The gold shop staff ran after the perpetrator. However, when they reached the escalator on the first floor, the perpetrator grabbed a gun, turned it around, and shot the shop staff twice. The first time, the bullet misfired, and the second time, the bullet hit the ground. Then, he ran and got on a motorcycle and escaped immediately.
