1st Army Area Commander Reviews Soldier Training Operations at 21st Infantry Regiment

Bangkok: The 1st Army Area Commander recently conducted an inspection of the new soldier training unit at the 21st Infantry Regiment, 1st Army Area. The inspection aimed to ensure that the training aligns with Army policies, particularly focusing on the rights and welfare of the soldiers and fostering a sense of duty to protect the nation.

According to Thai News Agency, Lt. Gen. Worayot Leungsuwan, Commander of the First Army Area, led the inspection of the training processes at the 21st Signal Battalion. This battalion is currently engaged in training new soldiers for the upcoming 2nd/2025 conscript rotation. He was accompanied by Maj. Gen. Atsawut Punyarachun, Deputy Director-General of the Army Education Department. The inspection team received a comprehensive briefing and visited several key facilities, including the Communications Station and the Weapons Education Station, to assess the training and well-being of the new recruits.

During his visit, the Commander also evaluated the dormitories and medical rooms, emphasizing the importance of the soldiers’ welfare. He took the opportunity to inspect the dining hall, where he provided additional food support and shared a meal with the recruits. This interaction was aimed at boosting the morale of the soldiers as they undergo their transition from civilians to conscript soldiers, preparing them to fulfill their roles within the military.

The Commander reiterated the importance of conducting training in strict accordance with Army policy and the Commander-in-Chief’s directives. He stressed the necessity of adhering to the guidelines set by the Army Education Department, which include safeguarding the rights and welfare of recruits. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of educating soldiers and their families about the current security situation, instilling a sense of sacrifice and duty for the public good, and encouraging a commitment to protecting national sovereignty with honor and pride.
