S.O.T. victims reported to S.O.T. 1 after being tricked by scammers into transferring a total of more than 20 million baht. People who are victims are advised to call number 1441, the AOC Center at the police and DE Ministry. To help follow up on cases
Pol. Maj. Gen. Chatchapanthakarn Klaiklue, commander of the Technology Crime Investigation Division 1, said today there were two victims who filed complaints to take legal action against online fraudsters.
In the first case, the victim was in the beauty industry and was tricked into accepting orders for brand name products and high value jewelry. The criminals claimed to receive high returns and commissions by tricking them into doing 40 tasks and transferring money to 35 horse accounts about 50 times, totaling more than 14 million baht, resulting in a large commission. But when the victim withdraws the principal and commission It appears that it cannot be withdrawn. Let them know that they were deceived.
Then there was a second group of scammers who pretended to call and claim that they were breaking company rules. I want to help the victims get their money back by fixing the back-end system. The victim is believed and therefore transfers money to the scammer again. In addition, there are also groups 3 and 4 of scammers trying to trick the victim into transferring additional money. But the victim doesn’t believe it anymore. This is because the money is out of the account and some of the money was previously transferred. I asked to borrow from a friend to transfer. Therefore decided to file a lawsuit.
As for the second case, the victim is a 73-year-old grandfather who was tricked into investing in stocks. Lost approximately 10 million baht by transferring money to 19 horse accounts because the victim got to know the fraudster on Facebook. which is a good-looking young woman, talking with each other until trust is built The fraudster then persuaded the victim to invest. By clicking the link to enter the system which will have a virtual stock trading board causing the victim to believe that it was a real investment before finding out later that they had been deceived so they filed a report
Pol. Maj. Gen. Chatchapanthakarn I would like to ask people who have been victims to call the number 1441 at the AOC Center at the police and the Ministry of DE. Let’s work together to help people who have been deceived by online scammers.
