253 Newly Elected MPs Receive Certificates Over Four Days

Bangkok: Over the past four days, 253 newly elected Members of Parliament (MPs) have received their official certificates from the Election Commission. Tomorrow marks an important day as the certification of party-list MPs is eagerly anticipated.

According to Thai News Agency, today at the Election Commission office, a steady stream of newly elected MPs arrived to receive their certificates as constituency MPs. A significant number of these MPs belong to the Bhumjaithai Party, including Mr. Warayut Jongaksorn from Constituency 2, Yasothon; Mr. Phitsanu Phonthi from Constituency 7, Pathum Thani; and Mr. Nop Cheewanan from Constituency 2, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya.

Mr. Aphinan Samosorn, a first-term MP at 27 years old for Constituency 7 in Nakhon Si Thammarat, expressed his excitement and happiness at being part of the younger generation entrusted with a role in governance. He emphasized the importance of focusing on economic issues and the prices of agricultural products, stating that improving people's livelihoods is key to economic prosperity. He plans to report to the Secretariat of the House of Representatives with his fellow MPs.

Additionally, representatives from the Thai Ruam Palang Party collected certificates on behalf of four MPs from Ubon Ratchathani: Mr. Narongchai Veerakul (Constituency 2), Ms. Pimpakarn Polsamak (Constituency 3), Ms. Chitrawan Wangsuphakitkosol (Constituency 9), and Mr. Somsak Boonprachum (Constituency 10).

Mr. Wasawath Puangphornsri, known as Kung Fu, informed the media of plans to bring five MPs from his party to receive their certificates from the Election Commission on March 5, 2026.

Today alone, 10 MPs received their certificates, bringing the total to 253 MPs out of 396 certified by the Election Commission. Tomorrow, the Election Commission is scheduled to meet and announce the certification of party-list MPs, allowing them to receive their certificates soon thereafter.
