34 Thais Evacuated from Iran Arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport

Bangkok: 34 Thais from Iran have returned to Suvarnabhumi Airport. At 8:30 AM this morning, Turkish Airlines flight TK64 arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport carrying 34 Thais, including 8 family members, 6 students, and 20 workers. This group marks the first set of workers evacuated from Iran, where they had been working amidst ongoing conflict.

According to Thai News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported that around 100 Thais remain in Iran, predominantly students who have not yet decided to return to Thailand as they monitor the evolving situation. Tomorrow, another 30 Thais are expected to arrive from Iran, comprising 27 Thai workers. The total number of Thai workers initially in Iran was 47, with some having returned today and the rest scheduled for tomorrow. This evacuation process aims to ensure the safe repatriation of all Thai workers from Iran, contingent on the return of all those who have registered.
