97 New MPs Register Over Three Days at Parliament

Bangkok: After three days of registration, 97 newly elected MPs have reported to the Parliament. Reporters at the Parliament observed the registration process from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the B1 floor lobby of the Parliament building, managed by the Office of the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives. This process follows the Election Commission's certification of the results for 396 constituency MPs. On the third day, four MPs from the Bhumjaithai Party registered: Mr. Lamlert Puapattanachot (Surin Constituency 6), Mr. Rungroj Thongsri (Buriram Constituency 9), Mr. Pornchai Srisuriyanyothin (Buriram Constituency 7), and Mr. Anucha Sasomsap (Nakhon Pathom Constituency 5).

According to Thai News Agency, the registration tally after three days includes 49 MPs from the Pheu Thai Party, 36 from the Bhumjaithai Party, 4 each from the Prachachart Party and Palang Pracharath Party, 2 from the Kla Tham Party, and 1 each from the Democrat Party and Okat Mai Party. There are still 299 MPs who have yet to register. The Secretariat of the House of Representatives continues to facilitate MP registrations daily between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM.
