Bangkok: Teen Studio is set to revive the abandoned Krisada Paradise water park, inviting brave souls to buy tickets and witness the haunting on June 11th. The studio invites thrill-seekers to prepare to enter the legendary abandoned water park that is reopening with the horror film, Kritsada Paradise. Directed by Kui-Taweewat Wanta, known for Thi Yod 1-2 and Attack: The 13th Spirit, and produced by Mike-Phontharit Chotikrisdasophon, the director of the hit franchise Phi Nak, this latest film draws inspiration from true stories and locations, using the theme of friendship as the catalyst for a terrifying experience.
According to Thai News Agency, the first trailer for Kritsada Paradise showcases the eerie atmosphere of the abandoned water park and reveals the faces of two top young actors, Fourth Nattawat Chirojnitkul and Yorche Yongsilp Wongpanitnon, working together for the first time. They are joined by Zen Chaturawit Cheawprasit, Gatow Pannawich Pattanasiri, Toey Worapatch Pakphatraphop, Jai Jai Sorathorn Chalermlapsombat, and Euro Warachthip Kittisiripaisan. The film tells the story of a group of teenagers who dare to play hide-and-seek in the haunted park, leading to the mysterious disappearance of their friend, a special needs child. This act leads to ultimate horror, with hauntings, pursuit, and forced coercion, as they are compelled to remain as lifelong companions in the park.
Director Mike Phontarit shared insights into the project, stating, "I had the opportunity to discuss this project with 13 Studios. They were interested, and that's how this project came about. The executives were very welcoming. They asked that the film be fun and the best it could be, and they invested heavily because almost the entire film was shot in Chiang Mai and involved a lot of CGI." He added that the film's concept arose from the idea of an abandoned water park, a setting not commonly explored in films. Phontarit explained that Kritsada Paradise differs from his previous works, describing it as a teen movie about friendship, interpreted as a horror film about societal differences and coexistence. The film is set to premiere on June 11, 2026, in theaters.
