Bangkok: Phra Phromwachirasuthee, the revered abbot of Wat Phra Ram 9, has passed away. He died at 5:18 AM at Chulalongkorn Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of religious service and leadership.
According to Thai News Agency, Phra Phromwachirasuthee, born on March 13, 1937, lived a life dedicated to spiritual guidance and community service for 89 years and 18 days. He held the position of advisor to the Ecclesiastical Governor of Region 14-15 (Dhammayut), contributing significantly to the Buddhist community in Bangkok.
Funeral rites are set to take place at the main hall of Wat Phra Ram 9 Kanchanaphisek, located in the Huai Khwang District of Bangkok. The community mourns the loss of a respected leader who played a crucial role in the spiritual life of many.
