According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva, leader of the Democrat Party, and his delegation visited the Cha-uat market community in Cha-uat District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, to support Ms. Kanokporn Dechdecho, candidate for Member of Parliament in Nakhon Si Thammarat Constituency 4, number 5. Ms. Dechdecho is the mother of Mr. Chaichana Dechdecho, the party's deputy leader responsible for overseeing the southern region. The atmosphere was lively, with many people, mostly elderly, waiting to take photos with Mr. Abhisit. At one point, Mr. Abhisit jokingly remarked to Mr. Chaichana, "Why is the deputy party leader so hesitant to give orders to the candidate in this constituency? In other constituencies, he just points his finger and says 'do this' and 'do that'," causing Mr. Chaichana to blush.

As people passed by the shops, they cheered and shouted encouragement, chanting "Democrat Party, Grandma's treasure," and "We Southerners only want Abhisit! We've waited for many years. This time we won't lose!" In addition, some fans brought old Democrat Party shirts from 10 years ago for Mr. Abhisit to sign.

Ms. Kanokporn greeted the waiting crowd, saying, "Today I came to Cha-uat to ask for everyone's support. Please vote for me, number 5, and the Democrat Party, number 27, to win overwhelmingly, just like when I won my first term as Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) president. Therefore, those who say I have no achievements are untrue, because I have been PAO president before and have accomplished many things."

Meanwhile, Mr. Sathit Wongnongteuy, deputy leader of the Democrat Party, stated that Nakhon Si Thammarat is a target area for the Democrat Party. He anticipates that if people in the South vote for the Democrat Party, the votes received, whether through the party-list or constituency system, will give the party enough MPs to control the formation of the government this time. He acknowledged that this election is a fierce battle, with only about a week left. Opinion polls show that it's a fight between four parties: the People's Party, the Bhumjaithai Party, the Pheu Thai Party, and the Democrat Party.

In the southern region, the Democrat Party is number one, and in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, the poll results show the highest percentage, exceeding 50%. Even with opposing teams having an advantage, they can't compete now. Nakhon Si Thammarat must be used as a model to leverage public support for campaigning. Therefore, anyone who has prepared their resources should save them for when they are old. That's why people in the South are now wearing the shirts of unity, the blue heart of the Democrat Party. Towards the end, Mr. Sathit jokingly remarked to Mr. Abhisit, "Before, after giving speeches, you'd go home to sleep, but now you're sleeping in our southern homeland, hoping to gain ground in our region."

Mr. Abhisit added that the Democrat Party has policies on a southern motorway and a southern railway connecting to Malaysia, extending from Nong Khai to Vientiane and then to China. However, some political parties keep asking why these things haven't happened before, even though the Democrats have a large number of MPs. He believes the people here understand that MPs cannot draft and approve projects without government approval. He noted that the Democrat Party was in government for a long time, but only oversaw the Ministry of Transport for two years, while some parties claim to have overseen it continuously. He asked them, "Next time they ask me something, please ask them on stage, 'Why are they thinking of doing this now?'" He criticized the way some parties threaten the people of the South during elections, saying they must vote for them or they won't get the projects. He emphasized that the Democrat Party, as the ruling party, has always cared for everyone, in every region and province, never leaving any one behind. He reiterated that the people of the South have always fought for justice, and therefore, he is confident that the party is moving forward with economic development to the fullest extent.

Towards the end, Mr. Abhisit pointed to his shirt and said, "Look at my shirt. 'Southerners are united in love.' Don't divide," he added. He then continued, "Not only will we not divide, but we're now facing a new threat: 'grey money' in the form of gray ballots. Have they been registered yet? The silence means they've already been registered, right? In Thung Song, they're shouting that they haven't been registered. Here, it's worryingly quiet." He then asked the crowd, "Do you want the gray ballots?" The response was overwhelmingly positive. He continued, "Is one ballot enough? Today, Abhisit is here. They're giving us money for four years, which is equivalent to one baht a day, but it's stolen money-tens of billions, hundreds of billions of baht-all from the people. We've lost opportunities, the economy hasn't grown, society is decaying, and there's no justice. This isn't what we want. I reaffirm, and I promise, that on February 8th, you will vote for the Democrat Party with both ballots."

Mr. Abhisit and his entourage then proceeded to Lam Nao Fresh Market in Bang Khan District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, where they were enthusiastically welcomed by a large crowd of people. They presented him with flowers to show their support, requested photos, and even brought old photos from a previous visit over 10 years ago for Mr. Abhisit to sign.

Mr. Abhisit said that someone brought him a photo from a trip he took more than 10 years ago to sign, demonstrating their unwavering support for the Democrat Party throughout the years. He thanked them for sharing the same political ideology and for their unwavering commitment over the past 30 years, enabling the Democrat Party to maintain its position in parliament, in politics, and to form a government to work for the people across the country.

Mr. Abhisit also stated that, even though he had been out of politics for about two years, due to his strong ties with the Democrat Party, he had told everyone when he left that he would not join any other party besides the Democrat Party.

But when I see corruption and political opportunism plaguing the country, while the people suffer and their economic situation worsens, this is what I intend to do when I return: to rebuild honest politics. The reason for almost every issue in the country, if you look closely, stems from corruption. Therefore, we need an honest country. He then pointed out that none of the four Prime Ministers from the Democrat Party were prosecuted or had their assets seized.
