Bangkok: A court has sentenced actress Poo Manthana to two years in prison without suspension of sentence in a fraud case involving "Lukmee," which involves damages exceeding 3 million baht. Her lawyer is preparing bail applications. According to Thai News Agency, at the Bangkok South District Court, the court of first instance read out its verdict in the case where Lukmee Rasmi Thongsiripraisri, a famous model and actress, along with others, sued actress Poo Manthana for fraud, claiming damages exceeding 3 million baht. Lukmee's lawyer revealed that the court sentenced Poo Manthana to two years in prison for fraud, without suspension of sentence, and ordered the sentence to run consecutively with a previous case in which the Bangkok South Criminal Court sentenced her to two years in prison for defamation. While Poo Manthana's lawyers are preparing bail applications, Poo Manthana herself has made a move, posting on Facebook that she "respects the court's verdict and will exercise her legal right to appeal."
