Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Implements Air Traffic Control Measures for National Children’s Day Airshow

Bangkok: Aeronautical Radio of Thailand (ARIT) is gearing up to support the National Children's Day airshow in 2026 by implementing comprehensive air traffic management measures. The public is advised to allow extra travel time during this period.

According to Thai News Agency, ARIT is actively preparing to accommodate the Royal Thai Air Force's airshow, slated for January 10, 2026, at Don Mueang Airport's Wing 6 and other regional airports. The initiative involves extensive air traffic management to ensure flight safety and minimize disruptions to commercial air services. ARIT is coordinating with the Royal Thai Air Force and other aviation authorities to adjust flight schedules and manage air traffic flow effectively.

Mr. Surachai Nuphrom, Deputy Managing Director and Acting Managing Director of Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Co., Ltd. (AeroThai), emphasized the commitment to safety and smooth operations. He highlighted the collaboration with the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), the Department of Airports (DOA), and airlines to synchronize flight schedules with the airshow timings. The focus is on adjusting flights, especially domestic ones, to ensure seamless operations during the event.

ARIT has reinforced air traffic control personnel, prepared equipment, and established contingency plans to handle potential disruptions or emergencies. U-Tapao Airport has been designated as an alternative airport. Passengers are advised to check flight schedules, allocate extra time for travel, and stay updated with airline announcements.

In addition to air traffic management, AeroThai is organizing National Children's Day activities at its Thung Maha Mek office to inspire children and youth interested in aviation. The initiative extends to young athletes participating in the AeroThai Mini Volleyball Project and involves air traffic control centers nationwide to foster community engagement and strengthen relationships with local agencies.
