Agricultural Museum Celebrates National Children’s Day 2026 with ‘Planting the King’s Seeds’ Theme

Pathum thani: The Agricultural Museum in Pathum Thani Province opened its doors for National Children's Day 2026, embracing the theme "The King's Seeds." This event, aimed at providing children and youth with a full day of engaging activities, was held under the concept "Thai Children with a Heart for Agriculture." Mr. Winairoj Sapsongsook, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, led the opening ceremony. The festivities, which took place from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, were a collaborative effort with all agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, featuring interactive learning experiences, playful activities, and prize distributions.

According to Thai News Agency, Chief Petty Officer Prasert Malai, Director of the Agricultural Museum in honor of His Majesty the King, emphasized the museum's commitment to organizing National Children's Day activities annually. These activities focus on promoting systematic learning for children and youth, using technology and innovation to teach sustainable agriculture and the sufficiency economy. The event aims to enhance children's critical thinking, analytical skills, creativity, and experiential learning, while promoting the wise and disciplined use of resources in line with His Majesty the King's advice.

The event featured a variety of fun and educational activities, such as a Walk Rally with over 20 agricultural challenges, including bicycle water pumps, solar cell circuit building, and agricultural bingo. Children participated in games like snakes and ladders, target practice, and seed picking, and engaged in Kahoot games to boost their agricultural knowledge. They also enjoyed a VR tour of a self-sufficient 1-rai farm, with hourly prizes available. A notable highlight was the "Rainmaking Smiles" event at 8:00 AM, which included a helicopter display from the Department of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation. Throughout the day, attendees could watch free 3D animation screenings at the "Our Beloved King" Museum and the "Museum of Genetic Wonders," with 14 showings available.
