Airlines Reroute Flights Amid Israeli-Iran Conflict

Bangkok: Passengers are advised to check their travel plans as several airlines are adjusting routes to avoid the Israeli-Iran conflict. The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has warned passengers to check their travel arrangements after several airlines adjusted routes and many countries in the Middle East closed their airspace due to the conflict between Israel and Iran.

According to Thai News Agency, the CAAT wishes to warn the public and passengers about the escalating military tensions between Israel and Iran, which have resulted in retaliatory airstrikes and missile attacks. This has led to several countries in the Middle East closing their airspace or restricting flights for the safety of civilian flights.

The Israeli government has announced the closure of its airspace to all civilian flights and requested that citizens avoid traveling to domestic airports until further notice. Iranian authorities have also closed its nationwide airspace as a safety measure, as have several other countries in the region which have announced closures or reduced airspace usage as a result of the rapidly escalating conflict.

Additionally, other countries in the region, such as the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Kuwait, have reportedly closed parts of their airspace as a precautionary measure to address security risks, which could affect flight routes connecting Europe, Asia, and the Asia-Pacific region.

This situation has forced many airlines to reroute flights to avoid high-risk areas, resulting in reduced air traffic in the region. This may also affect international flights that normally use the Middle East. Therefore, passengers planning to travel during this period, especially those going to Europe, the Middle East, or those with connecting flights in a third country, should closely monitor information from their airlines and check flight status before departure.
