— EMM leader appoints regional directors for ASEAN, China and Japan
SINGAPORE, Dec. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — AirWatch® by VMware, the leading enterprise mobility management (EMM) provider, expanded its Asia Pacific presence with multiple strategic hires, including the appointment of Edwin Lee as director for ASEAN, Johnson Xu as director for Greater China, and James Shin as director for Japan and Korea.
AirWatch continues to provide the world’s largest multinational organizations with the secure mobile solutions needed to embrace the rapid evolvement of mobility in the Asia Pacific region. Asia Pacific is one of the fastest growing regions adopting enterprise mobility solutions for AirWatch. To take advantage of this growing mobile needs of customers in the region, AirWatch opened its first office in the region in Singapore last year and appointed Jeff Baum as managing director for APAC. Edwin Lee will lead operations for ASEAN and brings more than 11 years of experience to AirWatch. Lee began his career in technology with management and director positions at BlackBerry, MobileIron and SAP. As director for Greater China, Johnson Xu will oversee accelerating customer adoption in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Xu brings more than 22 years of experience with director and management positions at companies including RIM China and IBM China. James Shin leading operations in Japan and Korea will oversee all business for newly launched operations in the Japan market. Prior to joining AirWatch, Shin held strategic positions at SAP for Global Mobility Solutions Group and focused on the expansion of Managed Mobility Sales and Mobility OEM for North Asia.
