Amata Corporation Opens Japanese-Style Hotel to Boost Eastern Economic Corridor

Chonburi: Amata Corporation, in collaboration with a Japanese company, has inaugurated a new hotel designed to bolster the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).

According to Thai News Agency, Amata Corporation Public Company Limited (AMATA) has upgraded its industrial estates to "Industrial City" locations, establishing a production and investment hub within the EEC. The newly launched Nikko Amata City Chonburi, a premium Japanese-style hotel, is a significant part of this transformation, aimed at facilitating business negotiations and deals in the region.

Mr. Eiichi Tanabe, Chief Business Development Officer of Amata Corporation, highlighted that Nikko Amata City Chonburi is a 51% joint venture with a Japanese investment group. The project aims to develop not just an industrial area but an "ecosystem" that fosters balanced growth among businesses, communities, and the environment. The ultimate objective is to create a comprehensive industrial city that supports expanding investments, offering extensive facilities, utilities, and services.

Currently, Amata hosts over 650 Japanese factories in Thailand and Vietnam, showcasing the enduring confidence of Japanese investors in the area. Hotel Nikko Amata City Chonburi is vital as a 'social infrastructure,' catering to business travelers, engineers, project teams, and long-term visitors, as well as tourists seeking relaxation near Bangkok. Managed by Okura Nikko Hotel Management, the hotel provides 210 rooms for both short and extended stays, featuring Japanese-standard amenities such as an onsen.
