Ananda and Nat Nichcha Celebrate Birth of Son Amid Initial Health Concerns

Bangkok: Ananda Everingham and his wife, Nat Nichcha, are delighted to announce the arrival of their first son, Phukin Tent Everingham, born on February 7th, 2026. The couple expressed their gratitude to Nat for enduring the pain for their child and shared their intention to focus on their new family member.

According to Thai News Agency, the new parents held a press conference on February 10th, 2026, to share their experiences after the birth of their son. Ananda described the overwhelming emotions he felt upon seeing his son for the first time in the operating room. He recounted the moment he heard his son's cry, which brought forth a wave of happiness, joy, worry, and anxiety, causing his hands to tremble and tears to fill his eyes.

After the initial excitement, the couple faced a challenge when their son experienced rapid breathing. This required the newborn to be admitted to the NICU with a breathing tube. Ananda refrained from posting pictures immediately due to his concern for the baby and the need to explain the situation to Nat, who was recovering from anesthesia. Nat reported that she rushed to see her son as soon as she learned that he needed to be in an incubator for a short period. The medical team provided excellent care, and the baby is now in good health.

The couple carefully selected their son's name, Phukin Tent Everingham, combining words to create a meaningful and unique name. Phukin combines "Phu" (land) and "Kin" (great), while Tent is a simplified version of Nat's surname, Thanakorn, for ease of pronunciation in English. His religious nickname, Phuttho, was given by a respected monk. The family uses various names at home, with Ananda calling him Kin and the grandmother calling him Phuttho.

Nat Nichcha shared her experiences as a new mother, describing the challenges of breastfeeding every two hours and undergoing breast massages. She explained that the breast massage was more painful than her C-section, describing it as feeling like an electric shock. Despite the pain, seeing her baby latch well made the discomfort worthwhile.

Regarding preparations for their son's arrival, Ananda mentioned that the gym has become a storage space for the baby's belongings, with everything organized to Nat's designer standards. Nat had already booked a place in a school when she was four months pregnant, understanding the need for early planning due to application requirements and deadlines.

Ananda admitted he initially had a laid-back attitude towards schooling, joking about raising their child like Mowgli. However, he eventually embraced Nat's meticulous approach. He expressed his gratitude to Nat, stating that her pregnancy was the happiest period of their relationship, and praised her calm and strong demeanor during childbirth and their son's NICU stay.

In conclusion, Ananda emphasized his focus on his child, stating that work is not a priority at the moment. He looks forward to starting a new life with his family.
