Ang thong: The Ang Thong Provincial Energy Office has lodged a formal complaint against a company responsible for transporting oil to a storage facility. This action was taken by the office at the Ang Thong City Police Station, citing the issuance of incorrect transport documents.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Kongkiat Kittikun, the Ang Thong Provincial Energy Officer, personally visited the Ang Thong City Police Station to file the complaint. The allegations arose after the Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD) conducted an inspection of the oil depot in Ang Thong Province on March 19th. It was discovered that the company had purchased oil from the IRPC oil depot on seven occasions, with all oil mandated to be unloaded within Bangkok or at a specified destination on the transport manifest. Contrary to this, the oil was unloaded at a company in Ang Thong Province.
This discrepancy constitutes a violation of Section 30 of the Fuel Oil Trading Act B.E. 2543 (2000), specifically Section 56, which stipulates penalties of up to one year of imprisonment, a fine of up to 100,000 baht, or both. Mr. Kongkiat further disclosed that the Ang Thong oil depot has been given a deadline to provide the requested documents. Should they fail to comply, he intends to file an additional police report to address the issue.
