Bangkok: “Anusorn” has expressed confidence that the draft of the 2026 budget bill will pass smoothly through parliament, ensuring that the government completes its term.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anusorn Eiamsa-ard, a party-list MP for the Pheu Thai Party, addressed rumors regarding a plan to overturn the 2026 Budget Bill and the potential dissolution of the House of Representatives. He suggested that such reports might be attempts to incite political unrest.
Mr. Anusorn emphasized that the government maintains stability with strong support from coalition parties. He asserted that there are no current conditions that could lead to the dissolution of the House of Representatives. The coalition parties understand the necessity of focusing on economic revival, managing living costs, and improving the quality of life for all citizens. The government is committed to reducing expenses, increasing income, expanding opportunities, addressing debt, and combating drug issues. The budget serves as a crucial instrument in achieving these goals, and its failure would harm the populace rather than any single party. The 2026 Budget Bill is seen as essential for national progress, and the government is not engaging in political games that could jeopardize the country’s and citizens’ future.
Regarding the independent organization’s investigation into the Senate’s acquisition, Mr. Anusorn noted that this is part of each agency’s authority and should not be linked to budget discussions or create confusion about the executive branch’s stability. He reiterated, “This government is here to work, not to play games. The budget is a vital tool for transforming the country, implementing policies, reducing expenses, increasing income, solving debts, and systematically addressing drug issues. The government remains stable and dedicated to completing its 4-year term as planned.”
