Anutin Advocates for Strengthened Order and Safety Measures in Pai District

Pai: “Anutin” has set forth a policy for Interior Ministry officials aimed at enhancing orderliness and safety for residents and tourists in Pai District, intending to boost confidence and attract both local and international visitors, thereby generating income for the area.

According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, along with Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration and Mae Hong Son Governor Ekkawit Meepian, provided safety guidelines to district chiefs, village leaders, local government executives, health volunteers, and tourist police at the Pai District Office. Mr. Anutin also took the opportunity to meet with tourist police volunteers to discuss these measures.

Mr. Anutin mentioned that Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra had instructed him and other Ministry of Interior executives to address concerns arising from reports about Israeli tourists. After consulting with the Mae Hong Son governor, he found that the situation remained normal, with a diverse group of tourists visiting the area. While many of these visitors are teenagers who may exhibit emotional behavior, they have not caused any unrest. In fact, their presence has contributed to a lively atmosphere and economic benefits for Pai District.

Following a meeting with the Israeli Ambassador to Thailand, Mr. Anutin assured that efforts would be made to inform Israeli tourists about appropriate conduct and social norms. He emphasized the importance of Thai hospitality in welcoming all tourists and maintaining social order.

Mr. Anutin urged officials, under the guidance of the Mae Hong Son governor, provincial police commander, and the Pai district chief, to collaborate in maintaining strict supervision and order. He highlighted the significance of these actions in fostering trust and confidence among tourists. ‘Pai is a top destination in Thailand that international tourists from around the world like to visit and bring income to our brothers and sisters in the area,’ he remarked.
