Nakhon sawan: Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, campaigned vigorously at the pedestrian street in Soi Sri Krailas along the Chao Phraya River in Mueang District, Nakhon Sawan Province, to support Ms. Pattaravadee Niroj, the party's candidate for Member of Parliament in Constituency 1. During his campaign, he was welcomed by vendors, tourists, and locals who expressed their support and took selfies with him. A notable number of teenagers and children were drawn to Mr. Anutin for photos at the Nakhon Sawan pedestrian street.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anutin engaged with a soft drink vendor who was unwell and experiencing hand tremors. Upon inquiring about the vendor's health, Mr. Anutin contacted Ms. Chitra Meethong, the secretary to the Minister of Public Health, to ensure the vendor received appropriate treatment and to discuss his rights to medical care.
Mr. Anutin expressed his dissatisfaction with the current social security system, highlighting that patients who relocate are unable to use their benefits for medication. He recounted his tenure as Minister of Public Health, stating that medication should be accessible regardless of location, and exclaimed, "This is outrageous!"
Throughout the campaign, Mr. Anutin received enthusiastic support from young fans, some of whom chanted "Prime Minister Anutin, number 37," bringing a smile to his face. Reporters noted that during the rallies, large crowds gathered to cheer for Anutin and his team, urging them to persevere and calling for the continuation of the co-payment scheme. Mr. Anutin assured them that the second phase of the scheme would be implemented with certainty.
