Chumphon: Anutin Charnvirakul, a prominent political figure, made a significant campaign stop in Chumphon, visiting three markets where he was warmly greeted by a large crowd, including numerous supporters from Buriram. Despite the scorching heat, villagers eagerly lined up to take photos with him, showcasing his popularity. Anutin received blessings from elderly women, with one wishing him a long term as Prime Minister, particularly to address issues with Cambodia, while another, 95 years old, wished him good luck, an act that moved him deeply.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin's day began at Tha Sae Municipal Market in Tha Sae District, Chumphon Province, supporting Kittisak Phromrat, the Bhumjaithai Party's candidate for Chumphon Constituency 2. He continued to Khao Peep Market in Thung Tako District, campaigning for Supol Chulsai, candidate for Chumphon Constituency 3. The lively atmosphere was marked by people surrounding him for photos, including some from Buriram living in Chumphon. Mr. Anutin addressed the crowd, emphasizing the importance of voting for the Bhumjaithai Party candidates and himself, number 37, promising that their voices would be heard, and prosperity would be brought to Chumphon.
Mr. Anutin's next stop was Don Wawa Market in Khron Subdistrict, Sawi District, where he supported Wichai Sudswasdi, candidate for Chumphon Constituency 1. Upon arrival, he engaged with an elderly woman who placed a traditional Thai sarong on him and blessed him. Anutin accepted the blessing and posed for photos, while villagers offered him snacks and tied sarongs around his neck. Addressing the crowd again, he stressed the importance of voting for both the constituency MPs and the Bhumjaithai Party, reiterating that without votes for number 37, he could not return as Prime Minister.
His campaign continued at the Chumphon Municipal Fresh Market, where he walked over a kilometer, interacting with the public. Supporters lined the streets for photos, while vendors inquired about the continuation of the co-payment scheme, which Anutin pledged to uphold if elected. Fans gifted him amulets, and a 95-year-old recited numbers representing the party and its MP, prompting Anutin to prostrate himself in gratitude.
As the campaign concluded, Anutin purchased a volunteer health worker shirt, paid respects at the Chumphon City Shrine, and performed traditional acts for good fortune, showcasing his commitment to his campaign's success.
