Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has submitted the list of cabinet members, ensuring that strict background checks have been conducted and affirming that the Bhumjaithai Party faces no internal issues. Despite media inquiries regarding the cabinet formation's progress, Anutin maintained a composed demeanor, opting to smile without providing direct responses.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin addressed concerns surrounding the thoroughness of ministerial qualification checks, particularly in light of recent legal controversies involving potential cabinet appointees. He assured that all procedures adhered to established criteria, emphasizing the binding nature of the Constitutional Court's rulings on all organizations involved.
When questioned about potential delays in the cabinet's formation, Anutin expressed confidence, stating that no problems exist within the Bhumjaithai Party. He confirmed that all coalition parties have submitted their lists, and that the Cabinet Secretariat is actively coordinating with over ten relevant agencies to verify the names. Should any discrepancies arise, the names will be returned to their respective parties for resolution.
Anutin also noted that the submission of nominee profiles has reached completion. In response to comments made by Abhisit Vejjajiva concerning the Prime Minister's qualifications in relation to the Senate collusion case, Anutin chose to laugh, refraining from further elaboration.
