Anutin Declines to Comment on NACC’s Dismissal of Complaint Against Saksiam

Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, declined to comment when questioned about the National Anti-Corruption Commission's (NACC) decision to dismiss a complaint against Sak Siam. The complaint alleged that Sak Siam had concealed ownership of shares, raising concerns about possible double standards in handling such cases.

According to Thai News Agency, this incident occurred after Anutin chaired a meeting focused on advancing key missions of the Ministry of Interior. The meeting included ministry executives, directors-general, agency heads, the Governor of Bangkok, and governors from provinces nationwide. Reporters seized the opportunity to question Anutin about the NACC's dismissal of the complaint against Saksayam Chidchob, former secretary-general of the Bhumjaithai Party and former Minister of Transport. The complaint involved allegations of Saksayam intentionally concealing assets and liabilities related to his shares in Buricharoen Construction Limited Partnership. Anutin simply listened to the question and responded with a smile, refraining from giving an answer.

When pressed further by reporters about whether this case represented a double standard, as compared by the People's Party to the case of 44 MPs, Anutin replied, "We agreed not to go around asking questions," before promptly departing the Ministry of Interior.
