Bangkok: “Anutin” entered Government House after the Prime Minister called for a budget disbursement discussion, confirming there was no sign of a cabinet reshuffle, and did not want to answer the rumors, reciting a poem in response to the Prime Minister saying “Everything in the world is impermanent.”
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, traveled to Government House to meet the Prime Minister at Thai Khu Fah Building after completing his duties at the Ministry of Interior. The meeting aimed to expedite the spending of the 2025 budget and the money reserved for disbursement in the 2024 fiscal year.
Mr. Anutin addressed the swirling rumors about a potential cabinet reshuffle, emphasizing that there was no truth to them. He expressed bewilderment at the persistent questions regarding this matter, questioning the need to respond to rumors.
When reporters inquired about the possibility of the Pheu Thai Party reclaiming the Interior Ministry, Mr. Anutin dismissed it as mere speculation, suggesting there was no benefit in engaging with rumors. He assured that his work proceeded normally and that the Prime Minister continued to provide directives, specifically focusing on accelerating budget disbursement for the country’s benefit.
During the interaction, Mr. Anutin asked reporters about the Prime Minister’s remarks following the cabinet meeting. The reporters relayed that the Prime Minister had highlighted the impermanence of all things, affirming no changes to the cabinet. In response, Mr. Anutin recited a poem, conveying the notion of life’s uncertainties:
‘Everything in the world is impermanent. People who don’t study can still pass exams. People who study until their heads are almost broken can still fail exams. Therefore, don’t look at it.’
