Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul stated that there are still steps beyond his control before a prime minister candidate is chosen. He advised reporters to "hurry and get on the plane" when questioned about his position with the Kla Tham Party.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul discussed the timeline and process for selecting the Prime Minister, emphasizing that several factors are beyond the caretaker government's control. Critical issues include the certification of Members of Parliament (MPs), with the Election Commission having only certified constituency-based Senators, leaving the certification of 100 party-list MPs pending. The timing for this certification remains uncertain, compounded by various unresolved complaints. Anutin stressed the importance of having everything in order, as processes such as the opening of Parliament and the certification of MPs are not yet under the caretaker government's jurisdiction. He revealed that he recently met with the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, who informed him that more information would be provided later. This delay is partly because the matter requires royal assent from His Majesty the King for the opening ceremony of Parli ament before the House of Representatives can convene. Anutin reaffirmed the government's readiness to act upon notification, as certain matters require his personal signature.

When questioned about the Kla Tham Party, Anutin gestured to his watch and mimicked an airplane taking off, stating, "This is the final announcement."
