Kanchanaburi: Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, is preparing to announce victory in the Kanchanaburi by-election after Wisuda Wichiensin, the party’s candidate, takes a commanding lead.

According to Thai News Agency, the Bhumjaithai Party leaders, including Anutin and other prominent members, have been covertly supporting Wisuda in her campaign for the Kanchanaburi District 4 seat. The party is now on the verge of declaring a win after Wisuda secured a significant lead over her closest competitor from the Pheu Thai Party, with over ten thousand votes.

As reported by local journalists, a contingent of Bhumjaithai Party leaders, including Chatda Thaiset, Yotsawat Mapaisansin, and Sorat Klinprathum, traveled to Kanchanaburi to show their support for Wisuda following the closure of polls at 5:00 PM. They were joined by members from other parties such as Akaradej Wongpitakroj and Chaiwat Paopiemsap from the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party.

Anutin is expected to make his way to the Bhumjaithai Party coordination center in Kanchanaburi to officially declare victory. With a win, the Bhumjaithai Party’s presence in the government will strengthen, increasing their total number of seats to 71.
