Anutin Presides Over Wreath-Laying and Awards Ceremony on Damrong Rajanubhab Day 2025

Bangkok: Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, led the wreath-laying ceremony at the monument of His Royal Highness Prince Damrong Rajanubhab in observance of Damrong Rajanubhab Day 2025. The event was attended by notable figures including Mr. Songsak Thongsri, Deputy Minister of Interior, Ms. Sasithorn Kittithornkul, Ms. Traisulee Traisaranakul, members of the Diskul family, and Mr. Arsit Sampantharat, among others.

According to Thai News Agency, the ceremony also included the presentation of the “Diamond Ring District Chief” and “Gold Ring District Chief” awards. These awards are intended to motivate and honor District Chiefs and Deputy District Chiefs for their commitment to public service across the country. The recipients were chosen based on their expertise, ethical standards, and notable achievements recognized by both government entities and the local populace.

During the event, Anutin highlighted the significance of remembering Prince Damrong Rajanubhab, who was the first Minister of the Interior, and his “Relieving Suffering and Promoting Happiness” mission, which remains a guiding principle for the Ministry of Interior. Anutin emphasized the critical role of District Chiefs and their deputies in addressing the challenges faced by local communities, underscoring the importance of their dedication to public welfare. He remarked that the awards symbolize not just personal accolades but also acknowledgment of their hard work, resilience, and integrity.
