Anutin Reaffirms Strong Ties with ‘Big Jazz’ Amidst Political Support Shifts

Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has affirmed that his relationship with "Big Jazz" (Pol. Gen. Chavalit Yongchaiyudh) remains unshaken, despite the latter's public endorsement of Kla Tham. Anutin, who also leads the Bhumjaithai Party, emphasized mutual goodwill between them.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin addressed the recent actions of Pol. Lt. Gen. Kamronwit Thupkrachang, President of the Pathum Thani Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO), who has shown support for the Kla Tham Party, despite earlier commitments to assist the Bhumjaithai Party. Anutin remarked, "He even said, 'I still like you, you have to ask the whole question.'" He noted that such dynamics are typical in political engagements and maintained that his relationship with Kamronwit is still positive, characterized by goodwill, although they have not spoken recently.

In discussing the political climate in Pathum Thani, Anutin asserted, "In the name of the game," underscoring the importance of striving in politics to earn public trust. He urged against malicious conduct and deceptive reporting that could harm other parties. He highlighted the Bhumjaithai Party's commitment to focusing on its work without undermining others, suggesting that public judgment should be based on their performance and benefits delivered to the people, rather than negative criticism of others.
