Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, remained tight-lipped when questioned about the National Anti-Corruption Commission's (NACC) decision to dismiss a complaint against Saksayam Chidchob. The complaint accused Saksayam, the former secretary-general of the Bhumjaithai Party, of concealing assets related to shares in Buricharoen Construction Co., Ltd. Despite being pressed by the People's Party on potential double standards in the handling of the case, Anutin chose not to respond.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin's refusal to comment came after a meeting with senior ministry officials. The People's Party expressed concerns over possible discrepancies in the judicial process, contrasting this case with that of the 44 former Move Forward Party MPs. Anutin, when approached by the media, only offered a brief statement, "We agreed not to ask questions," before exiting the interaction.
