Bangkok: Anutin’s government policy statement, featuring a blue cover and a national flag, was released, adhering to the three principles of public administration: “Protect the Institution, Uphold the Democratic System, and Uphold the Rule of Law.” He confirmed the government’s support for the referendum and the drafting of a new version in line with the Constitutional Court’s ruling.
According to Thai News Agency, reporters have detailed the government policy statement presented to parliament by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul’s government. The statement is encapsulated in a 50-page policy book, distinguished by its blue cover adorned with elements in the colors of the national flag. The statement emphasizes the foundational principles of national administration and key policies, which include protecting and preserving the nation’s institutions, religion, and monarchy; adhering to a democratic regime with the King as Head of State; and maintaining the rule of law, fair enforcement of the law, and good governance for the benefit of the people.
The document also addresses the government’s strategy for public administration amidst economic, social, political, international relations, and global geopolitical uncertainties. These challenges impact the country’s competitiveness, income-generating opportunities for the people, and business operations for entrepreneurs. Given the constraints of limited time, an unfunded budget, and a minority government status, there is an urgent need to tackle these issues while laying a foundation for sustainable competitiveness development in line with the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy. This involves establishing a transparent, fair, and sustainable economic system, fostering stability, peace, and tranquility, and building public trust.
Additionally, the policy statement confirms the government’s support for holding a referendum and amending the constitution. This process will involve listening to the people’s voices and participation from all sectors, as per the Constitutional Court’s ruling, to uphold the democratic regime with the King as Head of State.
Lastly, the government’s policy statement to parliament outlines policies aimed at addressing the country’s urgent issues and restoring happiness to the people. These include measures related to the economy, security, society, natural disasters and the environment, public administration, and legal reform.
