Army Commander Enhances Security Measures in Narathiwat Province

Narathiwat: The Army Commander visited Narathiwat Province to monitor measures to increase control of the area and take care of the people, and to urgently track down the perpetrators of violence to bring them to justice as soon as possible. General Pana Klaewplodtook, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army/Deputy Director of Internal Security Operations Command, led the commanders of the Royal Thai Army to travel to the southern border provinces to hold a meeting to discuss official matters with security agencies, military and police officers in the area at the Narathiwat Task Force Headquarters, Kalayaniwattana Camp, Kaluwo Subdistrict, Mueang Narathiwat District, Narathiwat Province, with Lieutenant General Paisal Noosang, Commander of the 4th Army/Director of Internal Security Operations Command Region 4, welcoming them.

According to Thai News Agency, in the meeting, the Army Commander and his team were informed of the important performance results of the Songkhla Task Force, Yala Task Force, Pattani Task Force, and Narathiwat Task Force in assessing the intelligence situation and implementing tactical measures in proactive measures according to the government and Army policies, along with taking care of the safety of the people in the area. From the violent incidents in the past, the unit has launched a tactical plan in the incident area, raising the level of area control measures, taking care of the people, and setting a target to track down groups of violent perpetrators in order to bring the perpetrators to justice according to the legal process.

On this occasion, the Army Commander ordered the meeting to emphasize intelligence work, which the unit must give importance to intelligence work at all 3 levels: strategic, operational, and tactical levels, in order to assess the situation and plan work in all aspects, and to continuously strengthen the members of the Volunteer Defense Corps in the southern border provinces. At the same time, the unit must increase security control measures for both the public and important places at full force, by setting a clear framework that is consistent with the policy in order to control the area effectively.

In this regard, additional forces from the Army can be considered to support compliance with the specified manpower framework. Finally, the Army Commander emphasized to unit commanders at all levels to supervise the work of personnel with caution, to be mindful of self-protection measures, and to be ready to deal with any situations that may arise at any time and in any area.
