Arrest warrant out for Red Bull heir

The Criminal Court on Friday issued a warrant for the arrest of Red Bull heir Vorayuth Boss Yoovidhya wanted by the police for the fatal hit-and-run incident in 2012 which left a traffic policeman dead.

The national police chief, Pol Gen Chaktip Chaichinda, said that after the issuance of arrest warrant by the court, police would instruct immigration officials at all immigration check points to look for Boss who was reported to be living in London.

Also, he said that the Thai Interpol would seek cooperation from its foreign counterpart to locate the Red Bull heir and to have him extradited to Thailand to stand trial on charges of hit-and-run and reckless driving causing death to another person.

Since the case has dragged on for five years, the police chief said that a 6-member police team appointed to handle the case would thoroughly recheck the case file.
