Bangkok: “Attakorn” is set to launch a series of events aimed at boosting tourism in Thailand’s southern and southern northeastern regions, with plans to visit Songkhla soon.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Atthakorn Sirilatthayakon, the Minister of Tourism and Sports, discussed the ongoing plans to rejuvenate tourism in the southern border provinces and southern Isaan. He mentioned that the authorities are awaiting a resolution of the current situation, anticipated to occur soon, which would pave the way for revitalizing these areas. The plan includes creating excitement and encouraging spending by organizing events, particularly in provinces impacted by floods, such as Songkhla. Mr. Atthakorn confirmed his upcoming visit to the area to arrange sports events and bolster tourism efforts.
Regarding the continuity of these plans with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Mr. Atthakorn assured that the TAT management team remains unchanged. He affirmed that both TAT and the Sports Authority of Thailand have collaborated on these plans, expressing optimism that the incoming government will continue these initiatives seamlessly. Mr. Atthakorn emphasized the absence of any hidden motives or obstructive actions, highlighting his commitment to correctness and appropriateness in his work.
