Phuket: Entering its second day, the 'Phuket Model' operation continues its comprehensive inspection of high-risk areas for forest and public land encroachment across the island. Today, the department visited five target locations, one of which was a luxury resort in the Laem Krathing area of Rawai Subdistrict.

According to Thai News Agency, the operation aims to address illegal encroachments and ensure compliance with land use regulations. Authorities are focusing on identifying and addressing unauthorized developments that pose environmental risks or violate public land usage laws. The luxury resort in Laem Krathing was among the notable sites inspected for potential violations.

The 'Phuket Model' operation represents a broader effort by local authorities to safeguard natural resources and maintain the ecological balance on the island. By targeting specific high-risk areas, the initiative seeks to deter future encroachments and foster sustainable development practices.
