Bangkok: The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) has launched an initiative to support farmers by organizing premium durian and fruit buffets for direct sale to consumers.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Phromkorn Phromkhatikaew, Assistant Manager of BAAC, stated that the event brings together over 30 vendors from farmers and community enterprises, offering a range of fresh fruits, processed products, agricultural goods, food, and beverages. A key feature of the event is the durian and mangosteen buffet, which showcases seasonal fruits and provides the public an opportunity to purchase produce directly from farmers, thereby supporting the income of Thai farmers.
The event is organized into three zones. The durian and fruit buffet zone allows participants to enjoy unlimited durian, mangosteen, seasonal fruits, desserts, fruit juices, and ice cream for 60 minutes at 399 baht, with a limit of 100 people per session. The Farmer's Zone offers a collection of fresh produce and quality products from various provinces such as Samut Songkhram, Phetchaburi, Chonburi, and Rayong, delivered directly to consumers. The food, beverage, and dessert zone features a variety of dishes and community products from entrepreneurs nationwide.
The fruit buffet is scheduled for three sessions: June 28th at 10:00-11:00 AM and 4:00-5:00 PM, and June 29th at 5:00-6:00 PM. Interested individuals can reserve their spot in advance through the BAAC LINE Official Account, with participation capped at 100 people per session.
The BAAC Market: Fruit Buffet event is set to take place from June 28-29, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the front of the BAAC Head Office in Bangkok. The event will also feature live music to create a pleasant atmosphere and encourage the purchase of quality agricultural products directly from farmers.
