Ratchaburi: "Ban Kao Wittaya School" has emerged victorious once again, securing its second championship title in the "Chang Junior Cup 2026" central region qualifying round.
According to Thai News Agency, the "Chang Junior Cup 2026" is part of Chang Natural Mineral Water's initiative to advance football by organizing a youth tournament for players under 13 years old. This prestigious event seeks to foster young talent and identify the premier team in Thailand. Winning teams are awarded the "Most Talented Player" title and two "Sportsmanship Awards," along with the chance to participate in a world-class tournament in England.
The third qualifying round took place from April 24-26, 2026, at Ratchaburi Stadium in Ratchaburi Province, featuring 24 teams. The final match saw the presence of Mr. Surachai Suphatthanakan, Sales Manager for Ratchaburi Province, Chang International Co., Ltd., and other distinguished guests who attended to witness the competition and present the awards.
The climactic match was between "Ratchaburi FC Junior," the 2017 runner-up, and "Ban Kao Wittaya School," the reigning Central Region champions. "Ban Kao Wittaya School" triumphed with a 1-0 victory over "Ratchaburi FC Junior," clinching their second Central Region championship. Their victory grants them a trophy, a scholarship, and the opportunity to compete in the Thailand national championship against youth teams from leading clubs, with the ultimate prize being a world-class experience in England.
The 'Chang Junior Cup 2026' is a collaborative initiative involving the Football Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage, Leicester City Football Club, Bootroom Co., Ltd. (manufacturer and distributor of Ari sportswear), and Molten (Thailand) Co., Ltd., all aiming to elevate Thai football to an international standard.
The Northern Zone competition is the next qualifying round of the 'Chang Junior Cup 2026,' scheduled from May 1-3, 2026, at Alpine Golf Resort, Chiang Mai. Registration for the Northeastern Zone will be open from April 27 to May 1, 2026, accommodating up to 48 teams.
