Ban Sang District Chief Accepts Transfer Without Concerns Over Flood Relief Criticism

Ban Sang:The district chief of Ban Sang, Setthawut Wongleowut, has accepted his transfer out of the area and insists he did his best in his role, showing no concern about a potential investigation into his flood relief efforts.

According to Thai News Agency, Setthawut, who served as the district chief in Ban Sang, Prachinburi province, will now assist in administrative duties at the College of Local Administration. He has been criticized for his handling of flood relief efforts but maintains that he has always performed his duties to the best of his ability.

Setthawut addressed the criticism, stating that while he listens to it, he chooses not to elaborate on his past work to avoid appearing as if he is making excuses. He noted that his past performance is open for review and expressed understanding that his superiors might have a broader perspective on the situation, emphasizing that all parties aim to serve the public.

He also mentioned that he is not worried about the possibility of a future investigation committee. Setthawut expressed his acceptance of the orders and the views of his superiors, stating he will not interfere with their decision-making process.
