According to Thai News Agency, Time Out, an international content platform focusing on cities and lifestyle, has released its Best Cities 2026 rankings, determined by opinions from individuals who have experienced the unique charm of various cities. The survey placed Bangkok at number 8 and Chiang Mai at number 32 among the world's best cities.

The top 10 cities in the rankings include Melbourne, Shanghai, Edinburgh, London, New York, Cape Town, Mexico City, Bangkok, Seoul, and Tokyo. Bangkok's position at number 8 reflects its dynamic cultural scene and culinary offerings, earning it the nickname "the city that never sleeps." Meanwhile, Chiang Mai's 32nd place ranking underscores its tourism potential and world-class lifestyle.
