Bangkok Authorities Inspect Air Quality Following Factory Fire

Bangkok: In response to a recent fire at a furniture factory in the Lat Krabang area, the Lat Krabang District Office, in collaboration with the Bangkok Health Department, has deployed a team to assess air quality in nearby communities.

According to Thai News Agency, the inspection was initiated at 10:00 a.m., focusing on areas affected by the smoke emanating from the factory located in Soi Chalong Krung 55. The inspection team visited several communities, including Wat Thipphawas, Lam Pla Thio canal, Thiw Phai Phatthana, and the Bueng Bua temple, as well as nearby villages. Their objective was to evaluate dust and toxic substances in the air and chemical contaminants in local rivers and canals, particularly concerning residents with respiratory conditions.

Residents were advised to wear masks continuously as a precautionary measure. Authorities have also set up a district incident command center at Lamphong School for residents requiring first aid or temporary evacuation.
