Bangkok: Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) takes children on a journey back in time to explore the world of 90s games, bringing joy to Children's Day 2026 at Chatuchak Children's Museum.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chatchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, presided over the opening ceremony of National Children's Day activities for 2026. Also present were Mr. Thaiwut Khankaew, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Bangkok, Mrs. Wilai Charoenchaisakul, Director of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's Culture, Sports and Tourism Department, and other relevant officials, at the Bangkok Children's Museum No. 1 (Chatuchak).
Governor Chatchart emphasized the significance of Children's Day as the most important event of the year for Bangkok, underscoring that children represent the future of the city and the country. He expressed his hopes for all children to be happy and to grow into content adults in the future, encouraging them to study diligently, seek wisdom, cultivate good habits, and maintain discipline in their lives. "I wish all of you a happy day," Governor Chatchart said.
The National Children's Day activities in 2026 at the Bangkok Children's Museum No. 1 (Chatuchak), organized by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's Culture, Sports and Tourism Department, revolved around the concept "LET'S GAME ON," inviting children to experience classic 90s games that brimmed with vibrant colors and cherished memories. The event featured ten exciting activity zones: Zone 1 "Shoot and Hit, Throw and Score," Zone 2 "Little Archer," Zone 3 "Racing Track," Zone 4 "Ice Hockey Rink," Zone 5 "Quick Hands, Bold Heart," Zone 6 "Lucky Coin," Zone 7 "Little Biker," Zone 8 "Arcade Games," Zone 9 "Dance Challenge," and Zone 10 "Inflatable Game Arena," offering children the chance to win numerous prizes.
The slogan for National Children's Day 2026, as announced by the Governor, is "Even if the head is stubborn in knowledge, even if the ears spit out slogans, don't give up on your dreams. Create your life in your own way." This message aims to highlight the nature of children and youth, who may not always adhere to traditional learning methods. However, it emphasizes the importance of perseverance, determination, and the courage to design one's own life path, while learning from the experiences around them.
