Bangkok: The director of the Bangkok Election Commission revealed that the recount in Din Daeng district went smoothly, without a repeat of the incident in Khan Na Yao.
According to Thai News Agency, Acting Sub-Lieutenant Sampan, Director of the Bangkok Election Commission, stated that the counting of votes for the Din Daeng Constituency 6 party-list MP seat proceeded without any issues. This recount was conducted at polling station 74, located in the Din Daeng Subdistrict, Din Daeng District, focusing on proportional representation ballots for Members of Parliament.
Acting Sub-Lieutenant Sampan Saengkhamlert further detailed that the recount, which commenced at 10:00 AM at the Din Daeng District Office on Pracha Songkhro Road, was completed without any complications. The commission is in the process of compiling essential documents, including Form 5/18, to submit to the central Election Commission.
When questioned about potential parallels to the by-election incident in Khan Na Yao on February 22nd, Sub-Lieutenant Sampan confirmed that there were no such occurrences, emphasizing the smooth conduct of the recount. He mentioned that once the documentation is finalized, it will be forwarded to the central Election Commission within approximately an hour.
